📍 Location: Tampa Pasco West
💵 Pay Rate: $20/hour
🕔 Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, starting at 5:00 AM
• Typical shifts are 10–11 hours
• Optional overtime every 3rd Saturday
• Year-round, full-time work

🛻 Position Overview:
Waste Connections is hiring for a Helper to support our Residential Garbage Truck Driver (R-91846) in Pasco West. If you're passionate about working outdoors, looking for long-term career growth, and committed to safety—our #1 value—this opportunity is for you.

The Helper is responsible for assisting the driver on designated routes to manually collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires working in all weather conditions.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Ride on the garbage truck to assist the driver in servicing customers
• Load refuse bags and bring containers to the truck for proper disposal
• Direct the truck driver when backing up
• Assist with basic vehicle maintenance
• Operate packing mechanisms and levers to activate the loading arm
• Clean the packer blade and truck body
• Deliver positive customer service interactions
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

💪 Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable and safety-conscious
