💵 Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety-focused, hard-working CDL Driver to join our seasonal team in Fairbanks. If you’re ready to put your driving skills to work, earn solid pay, and enjoy working outdoors — this job is for you.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be behind the wheel of a garbage truck, serving neighborhoods and businesses throughout Fairbanks. You’ll:

• Safely drive a commercial truck on assigned local routes

• Pick up solid waste, recycling, or yard debris

• Read route sheets and follow dispatch instructions

• Load and unload materials (with or without a helper)

• Perform pre/post trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment)

• Provide excellent customer service during every stop

🧰 What You’ll Need

• Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (required)

• Clean driving record

• At least 1 year of professional driving experience

• Able to lift/move items over 50 lbs — this is a physically active job

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

🌦️ Working Conditions

• Exposure to wet, cold, or humid outdoor conditions

• Physical, hands-on work (climbing, lifting, bending, pushing)

• Moderate noise from equipment

• Following strict safety protocols is a must
