Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections Company is looking to hire a safety conscience Automated Side Load Driver to join the team in Hermiston, Oregon Previous experience would be a huge plus!

Drivers are trained to Operate Automated Side Load Garbage Trucks.

Schedule will be Monday-Friday and Starting at 5:30am and Ending when the route is complete, (Generally 9–11-hour days).

Starting Wage is $28.66/HR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Valid Class A or B CDL license with air brake endorsement

  • Ability to read route Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.

  • Perform Daily Pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.

  • Operate hydraulic hand controls

  • Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws

  • Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

  • The schedule will be Monday - Friday day shift, 45-50 hours per week, 5:30am start time.

  • Ability to work a physically demanding job. Loading and unloading.

  • Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test

  • Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments

  • Clean driving record.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

  • Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.

  • Automatic Side Load Truck

  • Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions.

  • The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
