Waste Connections of Canada has an immediate opening for a Recruitment Coordinator to support its full-cycle recruitment.

The incumbent will be located in Vaughan, ON and will report to the Recruitment Manager at the Vaughan, ON office.

The Recruitment Coordinator will be assisting the Recruiting team to deliver daily in one or more areas of the recruitment process such as but not limited to; sourcing, posting jobs, pre-screening, scheduling interviews, onboarding, reporting, conducting pre-employment checks for potential candidates and maintaining all records in the applicant tracking system. Other responsibilities may include: requisition audits, conducting exit interviews, and other projects as needed to assist the recruiting team. This role requires internal and external facing relationships and will have significant interaction with candidates, employees and other HR business partners.

In the midst of it all, you need to keep the recruiters updated on status of all your efforts and progress including managing tracking and documenting all steps of the hiring process.

You will be required to visit our Districts periodically.

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary diploma or degree in HR or 1-2 years’ experience working in a recruiting environment and/or HR.
  • Experience with Workday or any other ATS is an asset.
  • Intermediate or advanced skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and candidate experience.
  • Ability to remain efficient and extremely organized while handling a high volume of work.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple demands without missing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to seek out answers to questions and problems.
  • Ability to effectively engage and build relationships with management and employees at all levels.
  • Fully fluent both in French and English is an asset (written and verbal).
  • Valid Class 5 license for travel and access to own vehicle.
  • Ability to travel to different districts/regions will be required.
